

Badger Mining, a sand producing firm, has been around for over 100 years and is located in several communities around the County with its headquarters in Berlin. Princeton is home to “Wisconsin’s Largest Weekly Outdoor Flea Market” operating during the summer months. Three excellent golf courses are located in the County with an award-winning course at Berlin, one of the oldest courses in the State at Green Lake and a third course located at the Green Lake Conference Center. The cool, clear waters reach a maximum depth of 237 feet and cover an area 7 ½ miles long and 2 ½ miles wide, bordered by sandy beaches, wooded shoreline and historic resorts.

The county seat is located in the city of Green Lake which takes its name from the state’s deepest lake. Green Lake County, at the southern end of the ‘New North’ region, is located 90 miles northwest of Milwaukee and 180 miles northwest of Chicago in a picturesque area of Central Wisconsin, surrounded by agricultural acres, lakes and a myriad of industrial operations.
